BTL 2015 with hosted buyers program for Brazil

The organization of BTL, the main tourism exhibition in Portugal, announced that the 2015 edition will have a hosted buyers program for Brazil, the result of a partnership with Embratur (Brazilian Tourism Institute).

When registering with the BTL hosted buyers program, international buyers will find two distinct areas for each market: one with the ability to schedule meetings with national operators and another one that allows to arrange meetings with Brazilian tourism operators.

Fátima Vila Maior, exhibitions director at FIL and responsible for BTL, explains: "Integrating Brazil in our business round is an asset to international buyers who regularly visit us and a way to seduce new buyers from Europe to our Fair, in particular some specialized in the Brazilian offer."

She adds that "our commitment to Brazil relates to the fact that it is a destination that speaks Portuguese and with a huge potential, due to several existing connections from Lisbon to the country. We have every interest in maximising the Lisbon hub and in enhancing BTL itself as a business hub. We are convinced that this novelty of hosted buyers program will have a huge impact on the number of international buyers signing up."
