During the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2026, the Cebu MICE Alliance launched the Cebu MICE guidebook to support international event planners.
The guidebook presents the Philippine island as a destination ready to host MICE events and lists venues for meetings and events of all types and sizes, possible activities, hotels, restaurants, local event agencies, and other services.
“The guidebook shows Cebu's readiness to host MICE events,” said Cleofe Albiso, president of the Cebu MICE Alliance, at the presentation session, highlighting the “cooperation between the public and private sectors” and the “confidence” that the guidebook aims to offer regional and international event organizers.
“This guidebook is a testament to the collective efforts of the entire region. It reflects not only the logistical capabilities of Cebu, but also the deep commitment of stakeholders who believe in the power of events to shape economies, inspire change, and forge lasting connections,” Cleofe Albiso said in the guidebook.
At the presentation, Christina Garcia Frasco, Philippine Tourism Secretary, also emphasized that the guidebook gives “clarity and more visibility to Cebu,” as well as competitiveness, and recalled that behind each event there are many workers supporting it – “the greatest value is the people.”
Destinations need support tools, and the Cebu MICE guidebook was created with the purpose of helping those who want to hold events on the Philippine island. The guidebook can be consulted here.
