Ifema Madrid wins award for event production

Ifema Madrid and Servis have won the Veredictas Silver Emporia Award for the production of the 2022 NATO Summit.

Ifema and Servis have won the Silver Emporia Award in the category "Best construction for an event" with the project NATO Summit. The Emporia Awards are the ephemeral architecture sector awards. The judge was impressed by the overall project management of the event, its design, document management of plans, production, lighting, sound, video, translation, assembly and logistics.

The summit was held in a 50,000-square-metre area, in Halls 12, 14 and 14.1 of the Ifema Madrid Recinto Ferial, strategic locations where the high-level meetings of the Summit took place in June 2022, in addition to housing an International Press Centre, with an additional 100,000 square metres of the Exhibition Centre used for a Security Coordination Centre, access control, catering áreas.

The task involved 1,200 employees of Ifema, Servis and the other companies in a production that required the installation of 50,000 square metres of carpet, 83,000 linear metres of cable for communications connections, and 30,000 metres of electrical cabling.
