Congress and event companies will be able to obtain the 'Clean & Safe' stamp

The Secretary of State for Tourism announced this measure during an event organised by APECATE, an association representing the events sector in Portugal

Rita Marques, Secretary of State for Tourism in Portugal, has announced that the "Clean & Safe" stamp now includes companies that organise events and congresses. "This stamp was an initiative launched on April 29th. Since then, we have already awarded around 18,000 stamps, trained 55,000 workers in the [tourism] sector, including tourism entertainment and event organisation companies. At this time, we have the stamp, not only in tourist developments, but also in museums, rent-a-cars, in tourist guides. So, in fact, the event organisation sector was missing.”

To obtain this seal, companies must submit an application in which they guarantee to fulfil a set of requirements, namely the training of their workers, respect for the rules of space occupation, social distancing, use of personal protective equipment, cleaning and hygiene, creation of confinement areas, among others.
