Excited Emirates Fans Light Up Portuguese Stadium

Emirates excited fans at Luz stadium this week in Portugal and gave S. L. Benfica fans a few tips on how to share their passion for the club. The activation, by the Portuguese company O Escritório, has become viral. Moments before the biggest Portuguese capital derby kickoff, which opposed Benfica to Sporting, eight members of the Emirates cabin crew took their place in the centre of the pitch and began a special show of support to the Luz club.
Inspired by the traditional safety instructions on board, the Emirates professionals have provided Europe's top sport fans a passionate, fun and engaging demonstration on the best way to support the club, including instructions on how to use the scarf to better express their love for the club.
Emirates’ Divisional senior vice president, corporate communications, marketing and brand says: “This activation is a perfect example of the way we like to connect with our customers through sponsorship. It was light-hearted, fun and combined our passion for football with Benfica supporters’ passion for their club. We wanted to take the opportunity to do something that the fans in the stadium would remember and we think this worked. We may even try an adaption of this on one of our flights and see how the passengers react.”
