Global Event Mates (GEM) is a new platform for the events industry. It was established with the mission of simplifying global collaboration between event companies and their clients.
"We wanted to create a new possibility that makes it easier for the entire event industry to find international partners quickly and without complications. We worked as event managers for more than 10 years and a platform like Global Event Mates is something we would have dreamt about in the past when planning events abroad. It often took us an extended amount of time to find the right project partner, and in a pitch situation, this was rather counterproductive... We wanted to change that for the future!” explains Katrin Albrecht, one of the co-founders of the project.
Users can now easily search and find ‘Mates’ on the platform and connect with people across the globe. “Planning an event, choosing the right location and coordinating all the small details is hard enough. That's why it's important to quickly find the right agency and suitable supplier to collaborate with. GEM offers a special 24-hour service, meaning as soon as you write to an agency via the contact form on our website, the agency answers you within 24 hours. Fast and effective!" Angelika Schulze, the other co-founder adds.
The platform also integrates the latest trends and needs pertaining to the event world. With the use of special icons, agencies are vetted and receive icons (“Quality Seals”) on their profile. Companies that, for example, offer events with a focus on sustainability and offer so-called "green events”, “digital events” or others are highlighted. Large agencies that can be found or operate in several locations around the world also receive their own icon.
