The events website has a new leadership.

EventMB, a website dedicated to the events sector, introduces a new leadership team, with Portuguese Miguel Neves as the new editor-in-chief and Angie Kimmel as the new sales director. EventMB announced that it is entering a new phase, focused on defining the future of events, resulting from the collision between the virtual and the face-to-face.

EventMB's founders and leaders up until this recent change, Julius Solaris and Carmen Boscolo, are moving on to other projects and the website, acquired in Autumn of 2019 by Skift, now has a new leadership. Miguel Neves is the new editor-in-chief and will be supported by assistant editor Dylan Monorchio. “His experience at IMEX, Synaxis and other organisations, until he became a specialist in technology and strategy for digital events, made him a well-known knowledge leader and a sought-after speaker. He lives and breathes technology for events and is strongly involved in the global online community of event professionals ”, reads on the website, about the Portuguese professional.

Miguel Neves’s comprehensive curriculum is a reference in the events sector. With a degree in Conference and Event Management from the University of Westminster, he has worked for several companies, including Make it Happen, Synaxis - Meetings & Events and IMEX. In 2017, he became Chief Social Strategist, a role he held until February this year, when he took over as editor-in-chief at EventMB. Currently, Miguel Neves lives in Haderslev, Denmark.

On the business side, Angie Kimmel is the new Director of Sales for EventMB and she will lead global sales and business development. For 20 years, she has been the link between her travel industry clients and meeting and event organisers in companies such as Northstar Travel and MPI.
