Thailand wants to increase the number of Brazilian MICE travellers
The revelation was made by Nooch Homerossukhon, director of the Thai Convention Bureau Meetings and Incentives department, in the latest IT & CMA edition in Bangkok. There already have been 40 Brazilian agents in Thailand, some of them dealing with the outbound. "We believe we can attract more Brazilian visitors to our country," she said.
In terms of numbers, so far the year 2015 registered almost a thousand MICE tourists from Brazil, especially in its second quarter. Most of them (785) arrived in the country for meetings and events, while incentives and conferences had 138 Brazilian participants.
"Taking the population into account, I'd say it's a very interesting market for Thailand," Homerossukhon noted.
