The Editory Collection Hotels opens five-star unit in Lagos

The Editory Collection Hotels group has expanded its portfolio with the opening of a new five-star hotel, The Editory by The Sea Lagos.

Located in Ponta da Piedade and the result of an investment of 63.8 million euros, the hotel has 204 rooms of various types, a meeting room, a restaurant and two bars.

The meeting room is 120 square metres and can host events, business meetings and presentations. It can accommodate up to 90 people.

Spread over nine floors, the 204 rooms are divided into 44 standard double rooms, 35 standard twin rooms, 33 sea view double rooms, 19 sea view twin rooms, 51 superior rooms, 20 superior sea view rooms and 2 suites. In the same complex, The Editory Residence Lagos is a block dedicated to tourist flats, ranging from 1 to 3 bedrooms, with private parking and access to all the services of The Editory By The Sea Lagos, on a seasonal basis.

The Coral restaurant offers a locally-inspired menu that favours fresh, regional produce and features grilled fish as its calling card. The restaurant seats 198 people and also has a 45-seat terrace. The hotel also has the Oyster Bar, with 60 seats and a drinks and snacks menu for any time of day, and the Crab'ar, an all-day dinning restaurant.

The Editory by The Sea Lagos features a heated indoor pool and outdoor pool, gardens, children's playground and games room. For the little ones, the Kids Club offers a programme of themed and educational activities for children between the ages of 3 and 12.

The Editory By The Sea Lagos pays homage to the tapestries and corals of the Algarve coast with the art installation Balance, by Vanessa Barragão, in the reception area. As well as art, the hotel is also actively committed to sustainability, ‘adopting responsible practices in the management of resources, the use of local products and the promotion of environmentally-conscious tourism’, reads the statement.
