ICCA Iberian Chapter: Mariana Sousa Pavão joins the board of directors

Mariana Sousa Pavão, international promotion coordinator at the Porto Convention & Visitors Bureau, has been appointed to the board of the Iberian Chapter of the ICCA.

The announcement was made during the annual meeting of the Iberian Chapter of the ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association), which took place between 2 and 4 April in Zaragoza, Spain.

In a message on social media, Mariana Sousa Pavão left ‘a sincere thank you for the invitation’, to the president of the Chapter, Jorge Vinha da Silva, of MEO Arena, and ‘for the trust’, to Luís Pedro Martins, president of Visit Porto & North of Portugal.

‘I accept this role with commitment and enthusiasm, ready to contribute to the legacy of previous administrations and help shape the future impact of the ICCA on the Iberian Peninsula,’ said Mariana Sousa Pavão, adding that she is looking forward to this new chapter in her professional career, “with goals, action and vision”.

The other members of the Chapter's board remain, including, in addition to the president, David Noak Pérez, from the Madrid Convention Bureau, Carina Montagut, from Feria Valencia, Phil Cross, from Bnetwork, Eva Garde, from the Granada Convention Bureau, and Joaquim Pires, from Turismo de Portugal.
