MPI Iberian Chapter: networking event to kick off the year

MPI's Iberian Chapter kicked off the year with a networking and fun event at IFEMA in Madrid.

Almost a hundred guests were able to enjoy a fun afternoon of networking, with the support of the Malinche venue, located on the IFEMA site. The venues’ facilities are able to host large corporate events, from congresses to dinners.

The networking afternoon also had room for gastronomy. Guests at the event were able to enjoy cocktails and tapas at the Templo Canalla, located in Malinche.

MPI's Iberian Chapter has reaffirmed itself as an association benchmark and a meeting point for organisers and suppliers. At the event, the latest activities of the Iberian Chapter were presented, as well as actions for the future.

Juan Martinez, director of events at Feria Valencia and president of the association, announced some of the activities already planned for this year. These include MiceCampus (an online campus with free training for MICE professionals) and the MPI Iberian Awards 2024.

The last edition of the awards dedicated to professionals in the sector, which was attended by more than 170 guests, received 60 per cent more nominations than the previous year. This year's edition will take place on 11 April in Barcelona to celebrate Global Meeting Industry Day.
