BTL 2027: internationalisation, business and talent to transform the sector
29/06/2026
Organised by the AIP Foundation, the 37th edition of BTL – Better Tourism Lisbon Travel Market will take place from 3 to 7 March at FIL – Parque das Nações.
The next edition of BTL will mark a new phase in the event’s positioning, reinforcing its role as a unifying ecosystem for tourism. The strategy for 2027 is based on five key pillars: internationalisation, business, consumers, innovation and talent.
“We will work with our partners to develop an increasingly high-calibre and distinctive presence in the MICE sector, capable of attracting decision-makers, events and international investment. We have a clear and quantified objective: by 2030, we aim to contribute to generating an impact of one billion euros on the national Gross Value Added,” said Pedro Braga, Director-General of FIL, in a press release.
With this vision, BTL aims to continue bringing together companies, destinations, institutions, professionals and consumers, creating real opportunities for the sector and helping to establish Lisbon and Portugal as an Atlantic hub for business tourism.
BTL 2027 will also feature Évora as the Guest Municipality and Lisbon as the Guest National Destination, further highlighting the value of these regions and the diversity of the national tourism offering.
