APAVT Congress discusses the weight of agencies in the Portuguese economy

The event returns to Macau from 23rd to 27th November with the presentation of a study on the travel agency sector size and its value added to the Portuguese economy.

The 43rd Congress of APAVT - Associação Portuguesa das Agências de Viagens e Turismo (Portuguese Association of Travel Agencies and Tourism), which will take place between 23rd and 27th November, will be the stage for the presentation of a study on the travel agencies sector, its size and added value to the Portuguese economy. This research was carried out by AMA - Augusto Mateus & Associados and Ernst & Young.

The meeting will be attended by Secretary of State for Tourism, Ana Mendes Godinho, who will share the opening session with APAVT president Pedro Costa Ferreira and the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Alexis Tam.

Also participating in this congress is Augusto Mateus, with a presentation on the future of Portugal through tourism. A debate on the East, Portugal and the Portuguese will bring together Jaime Gama and Jaime Nogueira Pinto. Diogo Lacerda Machado will also speak, about TAP, among other topics.

During the congress, the digital as a strategic advantage for companies, namely through e-Commerce, Big Data, Internet of Things, Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 and Mobility, will also be presented.
