Artexis Easyfairs Acquires 50 Percent of Exponor

The operation is part of the memorandum of understanding signed a few days ago by both parties, after several months of negotiations and should be completed by the end of the year. Thus, the Portuguese Business Association (AEP - Associação Empresarial de Portugal), which ownsExponor, the largest exhibition centre in the region of Porto and North of Portugal, intends to join and benefit from the experience and portfolio of the Belgian company, which currently accounts for managing eight venues, congress and exhibition centres in Belgium and Sweden, along with a portfolio of 125 events spread over 16 countries.
In a joint statement, it can be read that "Through this agreement, Exponor will increase its portfolio, benefiting from the experience, concepts and technological solutions of this international partner chosen by AEP. In the long run, this partnership will enable Exponor to position itself as one of the busiest venues in the Portuguese MICE sector."
