Rock in Rio Lisbon confirms 2016 dates

Keeping its usual location for the seventh consecutive time at the Bela Vista Park, in Lisbon, Rock in Rio festival has just confirmed its dates for 2016: 19th, 20th, 27th, 28th and 29th May. Please write those down on your diary. In a statement, the organisation promises a "special edition", celebrating the 30th anniversary of the event born in Rio de Janeiro, commemorated this year.
Over 16 editions, spread across Brazil, Portugal, Spain and the United States, Rock in Rio has hosted, according to the organisation's data, 8.2 million people, who were able to attend 1,498 concerts, in a total of 96 days of event and 1,200 hours of music. Also according to official figures, throughout these 30 years, Rock in Rio has invested in its brand 470 million euros, of which 20 million in social and environmental projects, creating more than 148,000 jobs.
