Azul to launch direct flights between São Paulo and Lisbon

Azul - Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras wants to link Brazil to Europe from May 4th on nonstop flights to Lisbon. Originating in São Paulo (Campinas), the newest route will initially have three weekly flights, reaching six in high season. For this operation, the airline will use A330 aircraft.

"We are constantly studying our network of flights and have identified this opportunity for great connectivity between Brazil and Europe. We will offer very convenient flights from several Brazilian cities with connection to São Paulo (Campinas), as well as links to various parts of Europe through our codeshare agreement with TAP. This is another excellent example of the ongoing Azul's investment in the Brazilian market, with focus on bringing the customer also international destinations," said Antonoaldo Neves, president of Blue, quoted by the newspaper O Globo.

Lisbon is one of the strengths of this operation. In the Portuguese capital, Azul customers will have TAP Portugal and TAP Express links to more than 80 destinations in 35 countries through a codeshare agreement signed in October.

The A330 aircraft will have completely new interiors, and Azul customers will have a unique experience in three service classes: Azul Business Class Xtra, Xtra Economyand Economy.
