12/02/2016

BTL, the main tourism exhibition of Portugal, will present Brazil as the international guest country this year. More than 42,000 visitors are expected and will have the opportunity to get to know the main attractions of each Brazilian state. The exhibition will take place March 2 -6.

"This year Brazil will prominently feature in what is the largest tourism exhibition held in Portugal. Brazil continues to be a prime destination for the Portuguese, more so with the Brazilian Real descent which makes it cheaper," said  Fátima Vila Maior, FIL exhibition director. "This year we will have one more good reason to visit it: the Olympic Games that will take place in Rio de Janeiro in August. Embratur has already confirmed the presence of a majority of the Brazilian states, which will allow showcasing a wide range of tourism products."

"Besides being an important contribution to the general public that always provides a lot of fun, Brazil also represents a strong commitment from BTL towards the professional audience, specifically to the hosted buyers program, which will have a specific offer for Brazil," she added.

The 28th edition of BTL - International Tourism Fair of Lisbon, organised byFundação AIP, through  AIP – Feiras Congressos e Eventos, will be held in FIL, Parque das Nações, in Lisbon.
